This world-renowned wilderness covers an area of 4 million acres roughly the size of Israel or Wales. The KNP has been incorporated into the Gaza-Kruger- Gonarezhou Park, a trans-frontier conservation area covering Mozambique, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
The park provides sanctuary to 147 species of mammals that include the Big Five, 520 bird species, 116 reptile, 49 fish and 34 amphibian species within its 16 different eco-systems. The park offers a range of accommodations to suit all preferences, and the main rest camps have excellent facilities; including shops, swimming pools and licensed restaurants. Guided walking trails in the park as well as guided night drives are popular ways of viewing game and experiencing the essence of this magnificent wildlife haven.
